La Belle Epoque

Today I am dreaming of all things Parisienne and pretty - I'm thinking of ruffles and lace, fresh cut flowers and perfumed roses, old fashioned carousels and carefree days in Paris. I was lucky enough to spend six months living in Paris with nothing to do other than amuse myself. Sounds indulgent?  Well it was - days were spent visiting galleries and museums, sight seeing, cooking classes at 'Le Cordon Bleu' visiting all of my favourite shops and generally exploring the streets of Paris, stopping for 'cafe au laits' to watch the world go by. My plan was to immerse myself in the language and the culture but even after 6 months I was still stumbling my way through French conversations. I have an absolute passion for languages so I am a greater admirer of  anyone who can speak a second language fluently.

  6. I love your pictures! I was also lucky enough to live in Paris for a few months. Unfortunately, I had to work but that didn't stop me from shopping, exploring, and eating all the fantastic foods!

  7. I love your pictures! I was also able to spend a few months living in Paris. It's truly an amazing city. In fact, I'm getting married next year, and I'm hoping to have a La Belle Epoque-inspired wedding!
