I love these extract from her book "My French Life' regarding French Style :-

Kerrie Hess - Fashion Illustrator

 

Kerrie Hess is living many people's dream life. She was born in Melbourne but has worked in London as a graphic designer for The Independent newspaper magazines. During this time she was commissioned for illustration work, and now works for clients such as Chanel, Alexander McQueen and Vogue Australia. More recently she has moved to Paris, where she is currently based, with her husband and son. Kerrie has also just released her first book - Shoestring Chic

Mint Chocolate

Mint is one of the most delicious colours around, especially when combined with chocolate! Pastels against rich dark, velvety chocolate makes for a dramatic and striking combination. Exquisite as a decor accent colour, mint also works perfectly in the fashion arena. Mint looks heavenly in Louis Vuitton's spring collection made up into fitted, feminine suits with matching shoes and handbags .... so perfectly ladylike. I doubt if I would ever invest in a pastel coloured suit but I love mint for pashminas, lightweight Spring knits, summer dresses and of course. ... chocolate!

Cake Shop Heaven!

         

 

 

Peggy Porschen Cakes must be the prettiest cake shop and cupcake café in existence. Perfectly situated in elegant Belgravia, London, it stands apart from the crowd with it's stylish pink exterior Inside, it is a heavenly confection of freshly baked cupcakes, cookies and exquisite cakes made to order. I would just love to enroll in one of their cake decorating classes. I think a visit to the café for tea a red velvet cupcake would be my idea of perfect afternoon!

Ladylike Glamour

 

I am really enjoying all of this ladylike elegance that we are seeing on the catwalks and in the fashion magazines for Spring / Summer. It's so refreshing to see a return to stiletto heels, elegant fitted dresses and Grace Kelly style handbags. The sorbet palette is fresh and pretty in an array of pastel shades fit for a Laduree shop!

 

I am quite sure Grace would thoroughly approve of this season's elegant collections. She would look effortlessly stylish in any number of the chic outfits that we are seeing from Louis Vuitton, Dior and Oscar de la Renta.

A Night Of Indulgence

  

This morning, I am recovering from a night of indulgence. Last night there was too much champagne, too much good food and too much laughing. We had a lovely night out with friends celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, promotions and whatever else took our fancy! Everyone got dressed up and looked deliciously glamorous, the men look dapper and the ladies look stylish in sequins and sparkles. So today will be spent quietly recovering, nursing a headache! I hope you all have a great Sunday!
