Christmas in New York

In my early thirties I spent a magical winter in New York. It snowed and the city turned into a white winter wonderland. I skated at the Rockerfella Centre under the fairy lights and walked through Central Park under a blanket of snow. It was Christmas time so the streets were full of excited kids and harried parents and a well meaning Santa Claus on every corner! It was the first time I’d been in a city with snow falling so it was pretty special. I just about froze to death as I didn’t have clothes warm enough to handle the cold but nothing could dampen my spirits when surrounded by such magic!
