The Princess Diaries

Well I must say I did love the Royal Wedding. It was everything I hoped it would be and more. I think it all went along beautifully - it was an eighty million dollar extravaganza that was conducted with style,  impeccable taste and restraint. Kate looked absolutely stunning in a very classic dress that was styled on Princess Grace's wedding gown by Dior back in 1956. I think I would have liked to have seen a bigger tiara and a longer train for the future queen of England but apart from that I was happy, especially after that second kiss!

Russian Princess

From humble beginnings selling fruit on the streets of Russia with her mother, Russian supermodel Natalia Vodianova has risen to dizzy heights. She has graced the covers of all the best fashion magazines and has been photographed by all the world's best fashion photographers. She is committed to philanthropy including her own charity the 'Naked Heart Foundation' that she established to provide Russian children with safe and inspiring places to play. She has 3 children of her own to ex-husband and English property heir Justin Portman. Here she looks ethereal in Italian Vogue.

Happily Ever After

Well today is the big day and I must say I am very excited about spending the evening watching the grandeur of the 'Wedding of the Century' unfold. I'm looking forward to the Royal procession, the dress, the flowers, the bridesmaids and all the other details that go hand in hand with a glamorous royal wedding. I hope that Wills and Kate set their own path and have a long and happy marriage.

Wedding Romance

It's difficult to not get caught up in the romance of the impending Royal Wedding. My head is full of crystal chandeliers and clinking champagne flutes; white wedding dresses with lace and ruffles; David Austin roses and scented gardenias; horse drawn carriages and Westminster Abbey. London must be buzzing with excitement right now and it brings back memories of high tea at the Ritz, my favourite white chocolate fresh cream truffles from Fortnum and Mason and Harrods English Breakfast Tea.

Royal Wedding Fever

I have just finished off watching yet another Royal Wedding Special. Yes, I admit, I am a little bit addicted to all the hype and attention that Wills and Kate have attracted in the lead up to their big day. I have even caught myself flicking through Wedding magazines and designing Kate's dress as I zip around in my car. I guess I'm just a real romantic at heart and I love all the pomp and ceremony of a Royal Wedding. Friday is a day for the history books so I am looking forward  to sitting down with a glass of bubbly and joining in on the celebrations!

Tropical Jewel

I'm off to Tahiti in a couple of weeks and I've been doing some last minute bikini shopping over the Easter break. I love the Seafolly range with all of their mix and match styles in jewel bright colours. I love the white bikinis with the blue Hibiscus flower on Jessica Hart. I thought these would look fabulous for lounging poolside, cocktail in hand!

Happy Easter

Happy Easter! I hope everyone has a lovely day with treasured family and friends. I hope the Easter Bunny is kind to all the kids...big ones and little ones! Enjoy a day full of  happy smiles, chocolate Easter eggs, great food, and good company. I love this Easter photo shoot saved from an old Donna Hay magazine - it epitomizes all the magic of Easter... excited, innocent children, the early days of Spring, fluffy white rabbits, the simple pleasures of country life and home baked treats.

Easter Treats

I love Easter. I love all the fresh Spring colours in pink, lemon and green. I love the bunnies, chickens and pastel coloured eggs. I think it's a magical time of the year. Whatever your religious persuasion is, there aren't many of us who don't get excited over Hot Cross Buns, spending time with family and chocolate Easter eggs! This Easter I might just try my hand at dying some eggs to decorate the table with and the ones that don't work out I'll use them for an egg and spoon race in the backyard!
