Adieu Galliano

Riccardo Tisci of Givenchy fame is set to take the reins of Christian Dior after John Galliano's fall from grace. Galliano was fired from 'The House of Dior' after a couple of incidents where he was caught drunkenly ranting and raving anti-Semitic racist slurs in a Parisienne cafe. There was no way out for him when the most recent outburst was caught on a camera phone and he was instantly dismissed. He is now in rehab but it's such a pity when individuals who possess such talent and creativity abuse their power, insult others and get caught in a downward spiral. Just take look at Charlie Sheen and a host of other actors and musicians. As I have had a life long love affair with anything Dior I hope Mr Tisci can do  justice to the Dior label. Here a few reminders of Galliano's creativity in his better days with the Dior Spring 2010 Collection of a 'Modern Day Marie Antoinette'.

these dresses are stunning!
I don't follow all the celebrity craziness so I didn't know about his dismissal... too bad because he was genius.
