A Weekend in the City

 

I live down the coast

about one and half hours from Melbourne

 so sometimes I like to treat myself

to a weekend in the city 

indulging in my favourite things ~

a little shopping,

 some good food and catching up with my girlfriends.

When I see the colour pink I associate it with my favourite things ~

Fresh flowers and parties

Ballerinas and fairy floss (cotton candy)

pretty lipsticks and summer dresses

macarons and cupcakes.

Vintage Bazaar

I am always inspired by the covers of old Vogues and Harper's Bazaar magazines. The women always look so refined and elegant. They make me feel like my life is sadly lacking in glamour. But then again, I need to be realistic and remember I live in a small seaside town where there's not much call to dress up and be glamorous. I love this set of Harper's Bazaar covers they make me feel like booking a holiday and jetting off somewhere exotic like Cairo, Tangier or Tanzania.
