Paris In The Autumn

We are in the midst of some gorgeous Autumn weather :- sunshine, blue skies, crisp mornings and falling leaves in golden hues. I am reminiscing of Autumn days spent in Paris watching the leaves turn shades of russet while I sit in cosy cafes drinking hot chocolates and indulging in warm croissants. I am dreaming of walks along the Seine with crisp Autumn leaves crunching underfoot watching the river cruises, the artists at their work and lovers holding hands embraced against the crisp Autumn air.

Autumn Days with Michael Kors

Karmen Kass stars in this lovely autumn Michael Kors ad campaign. The campaign was photographed by favourite photographer Mario Testino. I love Michael Kors advertising campaigns almost as much as I love his ultra-american, chic, 'sport-glamour' collections. The photographs look so golden, the models so effortless, and it is just such a great way to show off the clothes and the lifestyle.

Michael Kors - Fall Fashion

With Autumn leaves still falling all around I felt inspired by this Michael Kors fashion shoot starring my husband's favourite model Carmen Kass. I love the over exaggerated colours that Mario Testino has used and I am a big fan of Michael Kors classic chic. His palette of beige, grey, tan and camel is eternally classic and elegant. I prefer to spend more money on a few good quality pieces that I really love and can hang onto for a few years. I think I might rug up this weekend in my lovely winter coat and scarf and take a long walk with my beau through the park and embrace this crisp weather we are having.

Autumn Baking

Well it was a cold, wet and windy weekend - leaving us with nothing much to do apart from rugging up and staying indoors. The fire roared away all weekend so I thought I would make the most of the wintery weather and do some cooking. One of the kids is in the middle of exams and the other is learning the guitar off his very talented dad. So with the two of them strumming away I set about baking a chocolate cake for afternoon tea and a apple pie for dessert. With the lovely aroma from the oven, the warmth of the fire and good food to look forward to I think everyone was very contented!

Falling For Autumn Colours

With autumn leaves falling and crisper days I am starting to think of updating my winter wardrobe. I love this Louis Vuitton campaign with it's fifties inspired glamour and rusty brown autumn tones. The perfect high pony tails are fun and the cinched in waists and voluptuous bustlines are a welcome change after years of waif like models strutting down our catwalks. Bring on the feminine curves I say and let women be women!

Autumn Fare

We have just bought our first load of firewood for the season so my thoughts are turning to crisp Autumn evenings with the fire roaring away in the background, hot soups, freshly baked bread, crackling Autumn leaves underfoot, warm chunky knits and woollie scarves. I love watching the seasons change and I am looking forward to hearty meals and cosy nights in!
