A Midsummer's Wedding

So many celebrity weddings in such a short span! This time Kate Moss marries rocker Jamie Hince in a glamorous, bohemian style wedding this past weekend. Kate wore a heavily beaded vintage-style dress designed by her good friend, designer John Galliano. Jamie wore a double breasted suit, Ray Bans, a polka dot tie and plenty of attitude! Kate was accompanied by no less than 15 bridesmaids, including her eight-year-old daughter Lila Grace. It was a star-studded affair in the English countryside with three days of festivities to follow.

Once Upon A Time ...

Some Wedding Day Inspiration

The picturesque principality of Monaco is in the midst of three days of royal wedding festivities. The Wedding Day was the biggest day in Monaco's history since Prince Rainier married Grace Kelly in 1956. However the glamour and romance has been marred by rumours that the bride had cold feet leading up to the day. Preparations have been clouded by claims that South African Olympic swimmer, Charlene Wittstock, attempted to call it off as a result of more rumours of Albert's infidelities. Palace staff managed to convince her not to leave at Nice Airport and the wedding has gone ahead as planned. Not the most perfect way to start a marriage! Aside from all of that, Princess Charlene looked stunning with her elegant chignon and an Armani off the shoulder gown. The dress was embellished with Swarovski crystals, mother of pearl beads and finished with a dramatic, sweeping train.

The Princess Diaries

Well I must say I did love the Royal Wedding. It was everything I hoped it would be and more. I think it all went along beautifully - it was an eighty million dollar extravaganza that was conducted with style,  impeccable taste and restraint. Kate looked absolutely stunning in a very classic dress that was styled on Princess Grace's wedding gown by Dior back in 1956. I think I would have liked to have seen a bigger tiara and a longer train for the future queen of England but apart from that I was happy, especially after that second kiss!

Happily Ever After

Well today is the big day and I must say I am very excited about spending the evening watching the grandeur of the 'Wedding of the Century' unfold. I'm looking forward to the Royal procession, the dress, the flowers, the bridesmaids and all the other details that go hand in hand with a glamorous royal wedding. I hope that Wills and Kate set their own path and have a long and happy marriage.

Wedding Romance

It's difficult to not get caught up in the romance of the impending Royal Wedding. My head is full of crystal chandeliers and clinking champagne flutes; white wedding dresses with lace and ruffles; David Austin roses and scented gardenias; horse drawn carriages and Westminster Abbey. London must be buzzing with excitement right now and it brings back memories of high tea at the Ritz, my favourite white chocolate fresh cream truffles from Fortnum and Mason and Harrods English Breakfast Tea.

Royal Wedding Fever

I have just finished off watching yet another Royal Wedding Special. Yes, I admit, I am a little bit addicted to all the hype and attention that Wills and Kate have attracted in the lead up to their big day. I have even caught myself flicking through Wedding magazines and designing Kate's dress as I zip around in my car. I guess I'm just a real romantic at heart and I love all the pomp and ceremony of a Royal Wedding. Friday is a day for the history books so I am looking forward  to sitting down with a glass of bubbly and joining in on the celebrations!
