Party Girl Pink

Well tonight - it's big celebrations! I am celebrating the ten year anniversary of my Interior Design business so it's a bottle of Rose Vintage Moet and Chandon to start with then I'll throw on a little designer party frock and it's out to dinner to a swanky restaurant. I am very proud of my myself because it was a big risk particularly as I had a good job with Calvin Klein. But I had a good feeling, I'm hardworking and ten years down the track I'll still in business and still loving it! I have all the same architects from when I first started out - even though I moved from the city to the coast. I am very grateful to be living down the beach, working  from home and being able to make a living. I also have the added benefit of working alongside my husband who's a landscape architect. Thankfully we have separate businesses so there's no need to argue!

English designer Carolyn Quartemaine has been one of my all time favourite designers and stylists for years and years. She is multi-talented with skills that shine in all areas of interior decorating, textile design and magazine styling. Combined with photography and cooking these are my passions in life so I have a great appreciation of her talent. Carolyn is a true original forging her own creative path and setting worldwide trends. Her printed silks in a stunning array of colours are truly exquisite. Palm Springs Vacation

This fashion story for British Vogue featuring Julia Stegner is glamorous, summery and colourful with a good dose of humour thrown in. It makes me feel like taking off on a holiday. I have always fancied a vacation in Palm Springs with it's warm, sunny weather, tall palm trees, luxury spas and it's cool, mid century architecture. My husband would love the golf courses so it's a perfect holiday destination for the two of us! I can see myself in bright summer dresses, big sunglasses, sipping martinis and taking lots of dips in the pool to cool me down!

The Orient Express

It has long been a dream that one day, when time and money are no object, I would love to catch the Orient Express from Venice to Paris. It takes two days and a night and promises a journey unlike any other. Romance, adventure and style are all entwined as you step back in time to a more gracious, elegant age of travel. Luxurious, Art Deco cabins, gastronomic cuisine and beautiful scenery combine to make this iconic train  trip one of the world’s finest travel experiences - one that I don't want to miss out on!

Sweet Tooth

I must confess I have a real sweet tooth and love anything that's sweet and sugary. Maybe part of the reason is that things that are sweet are always packaged up so beautifully. Brightly coloured candy, enticing wrappers, exquisite chocolate boxes, dainty presentations tied with delicate bows, delicious desserts and divine pastries that are more works of art than mere pastry ... who can we resist such pretty temptations?
