Christmas Drinks Party

 

Here's some great inspiration for Christmas drinks and get-togethers. So many gorgeous ideas to inspire and if you run out of time to make everything from scratch, duck out and buy a box of mini Christmas puddings, pick up some macarons and meringues from the local patisserie and no one would know the difference - it's all in the presentation I say! I just love the attention to detail - the flags, ribbons and labels are what makes it so special!

Loving this bright, colourful Christmas inspiration - I'm always on the the look out for clever ideas that are different and inspiring, and I just love all this pop of colour. It's a great concept to brighten up Christmas for the kids, keeping it modern, fresh and young. The colourful reindeer add a sense of fun and give it a Scandinavian twist. I think it would also make a perfect theme for a Christmas party. I know my girlfriends would love it especially with a glass of pink Moet and Chandon in hand!

Santa's Little Helper!

 

 

 

 

Growing up, I was always a great help to my mum, especially for parties and entertaining, buzzing around cleaning up after guests. I think being so involved gave me a real love of entertaining and playing party hostess. My kids do much the same, helping me set up parties, and they're always in the kitchen lending a hand especially when I'm under pressure and running out of time! This year I'm going to get them more involved with Christmas day - cooking the turkey, setting the table, big tasks that they can take credit for. I think if kids put in an effort and give others pleasure they'll get more out of the day - then it's just not about the presents!

I always think of Christmas as a very glamorous time of year and the perfect excuse to follow Audrey's good advice and stick to all of the above - especially on Christmas Day! I grew up in a family where we wore our Sunday best on Christmas day, lunch was always very formal and the table was set with the finest crystal and silver, traditions were followed and you were on your best behaviour! Living by the beach, we are more casual than formal with a coastal mix rather than traditional feel but I still love everyone to dress up, and for the day to be a chic and stylish affair with french champagne, beautifully presented food and an air of grace!

A Little Weekend Sparkle

 

 

Tonight, I am meeting up with the girls for Christmas drinks so that will add a little sparkle to my weekend - there will be champagne, laughter and gossip. There will be talk of shoes, cosmetics, summer sales, parties and vacations. They will be an array of gifts in the form of bath bombs, sparkly nail polish, lip glosses, candles and luxury hand creams. I have a little bit of last minute Christmas shopping and a busy day with clients so by the time 5 o'clock comes around I will be in desperate need of that glass of champagne and a chance to relax and unwind!
